GIVE
We give as an act of worship and faith.
At First Baptist, we support personal stewardship. Giving declares our faith in:
God’s Ownership
We do not give to God, we give back to God. He doesn’t need our gifts. He provides even what we give back. We need to acknowledge his ownership through giving.
“The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants belong to the Lord.” Psalm 24:1
God’s Provision
We show our trust in God as provider when we tithe and trust him to supply our needs.
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
God’s Reward
We show our desire to invest in the Kingdom of God, which will never pass away.
“Don’t store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
HOW YOUR GIFT IS USED
First Baptist strives to make sure that all our giving is used to glorify the kingdom and do missions. Our promise to you is that we will use your gifts to further the kingdom of God. We work tirelessly to reduce administrative costs so that more can be used for ministry. We are glad to provide a complete budget and spending report. CREDIT CARDS
If you plan to use a credit card, we ask that you only do so if you can pay off the full amount when the bill comes due, as we do not want to contribute to credit card debt in your personal stewardship.
