WHAT TO EXPECT

SUNDAY MORNINGS

SUNDAY SCHOOL,
Discipleship classes are available for people in all stages of life and spiritual maturity starting at 9:45 am. Adult and youth classes spend this time studying the Bible and discussing life applications. Children learn age-appropriate lessons about Jesus and the Bible through stories, crafts, and play. Most classes are held in the Educational Building, Greeters are available in the Welcome Center to help you and your children find a class. Learn more.

NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Pastor Jeff leads a “Meet FBC” membership class for those who have recently joined or just want to know more.  Contact the church office or check the Announcements for dates and to register for this class.

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Sunday morning worship services begin at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary. Morning worship typically includes announcements, prayers, congregational songs and hymns, special music, a time for collecting tithes and offerings, and a Biblical application message from our senior pastor. Every service ends with time for folks to respond by praying at the altar or speaking with a minister. Our music is a blend of traditional and contemporary songs, with lyrics displayed on large screens so you can sing along. Services last about an hour and about 200 people attend each week.

We seek to find a balance between offering childcare so parents can fully engage in the worship service and encouraging children to participate in the worship service alongside their families. Therefore, we have a variety of options for children during our Sunday morning worship services. We offer nursery care for infants and 1-year-olds, as well as Extended Session for ages 2-3, during the entire worship service. In addition, a “cry room” is available in the rear of the Sanctuary, and the worship service is broadcast over monitors in the lobby and the Welcome Center. During the worship service, school-age children typically sit with their parents. Handouts are available in the lobby and across from the elevators in the Fellowship Building to help younger children stay engaged with the pastor’s sermon. Some youth sit with their families while others sit together near the front of the church.
